Biography

With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance Industry, Johanna has developed a well-rounded background handling both personal and commercial lines claims. The majority of her career has been focused on subrogation, where she has managed claims from several lines of business including auto, property, inland marine, worker’s comp, and aviation.

Johanna is currently a Claims Transformation Consultant based in Raleigh, North Carolina, specializing in making claims economically viable through smarter subrogation practices. Her work centers on embedding subrogation discipline early in the claims lifecycle, optimizing workflows, and reducing process friction so even low‑dollar claims can deliver meaningful recovery. She brings a pragmatic, operations‑focused perspective to subrogation, helping teams balance cost, effort, and opportunity while improving consistency and accountability. She is known for translating complex process challenges into practical strategies that enable claims organizations to do more with less—without sacrificing quality or compliance.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is also an avid cook and baker. To maintain balance and focus, she prioritizes her well-being through weight training and walking whenever possible.
